Functions of the Kilimanjaro Environmental Conservation Management Trust Fund, Tanzania.

FUNCTIONS

The main function of the Fund is to combat as fast as possible all measures detrimental to a good and sustainable environment of the Kilimanjaro Region by :
  • Providing financial assistance to environmental activities implemented by the Village, Ward and District Environment Committees.
  • Providing necessary gear to fight bush fires as they occur.
  • Liaising with donors and trustees to ensure the fund assets are increased to enable it to operate smooothly.
  • Undertaking responsibility of mobilising funds to support environmental activities.
  • Forming as many committees as it may deem necessary for the efficient performance of its functions
